SETTING

// EVRANCE
Welcome to the city, the site of the (Indeterminable Number) Holy Grail War! It’s what you would expect from a bustling city–tall buildings, every block possessing either a coffee chain store or a wholesome cafe where they know your name after three visits, terrible traffic. Expect to find a few parks, some museums, and probably an amusement park in which you can either go on romantic dates, try to kill each other on top of the Ferris Wheel, or both--if you’re feeling feisty.

In terms of housing, there’s no cute dorms or shared rooms here unless you’re trying to save money by splitting costs. Each pair will be given enough money to find temporary lodging and to handle their basic needs. Whether that’s renting an apartment, finding a sugar daddy, breaking into someone’s vacation home, or setting up lodging in a discarded refrigerator box, live your best life.

Smack-dab in the middle of the city is the Church, an imposing-looking… well, church, that still has a lovely flower bed out front. You’ll find it to be inhabited by only one human, a priest who goes by the name of “Father Capitano”, and a very fat orange tabby that accepts being called “Bopchester” or “Your Excellency” equally. The priest will be something like a moderator throughout the war, exercising fairness and impartial judgment where required, though he may offer up quests from time to time where needed. He can be called upon to explain anything a confused Master may need further clarification on, though he’s under no obligation to be particularly helpful in his responses. The Church will also offer sanctuary to surviving Masters who have lost their Servants, so no one can go on a happy bloodbath after the fact.

The civilians have no idea about any kind of war going on and will look at you a little weirdly if you talk about it too much. Otherwise, they’re just here to go about their business and maybe accidentally get caught up in your brawls, though the Church would rather you keep things largely on the down-low.

No, you can’t leave the city. But players are welcome to make up their own locations within Evrance (within reason, of course) and are additionally welcome to ask if there’s anything they’re uncertain of.

Have fun!
